The Ynys-hir RSPB reserve is one of several reserves that's mission is to save wildlife particularly birds. It is situated by the Dyfi estuary in Ceredigion, Wales. I was fortunate enough to go visit the reserve on a class field trip. For my ethology class, we are talking about group behavior. For our practical we were to observe vigilance in geese and see if an increase in flock size decreases the amount of time an individual has to stay vigilance against predators. According to the data I collected there was no significant results, however it was really pretty countryside and it was great to get out and get some fresh air.
