The Aran.. errr almost

Aran Fawddwy is a peak in Snowdonia National Park that reaches 798 meters. This morning the hiking club went forth with the intent on conquering Aran. The weather had other ideas. Rain, snow, and then more rain. A 1/3 of the way up the wind and precipitation made the way up too dangerous so we scaled a smaller peak nearby and then made our way back to the bus. We were all sufficiently wet and cold by the time we were done but I still got some breathtaking pictures!

My favorite picture of the day!

Waterfall!

The snow begins!

The top. A pile of rocks. Of course.

There's a lake beyond the fence.

Another favorite picture. Today was just a good picture day even though it was precipitating.
